Jeffrey M. Hulsether

Jeffrey M. Hulsether, 64, of Nisswa passed away Saturday, February 15, 2020 at the St. Cloud Hospital.

A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, February 25, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Brainerd. A visitation will be held on Monday, February 24, 2020 from 4-7 p.m. at Nelson-Doran Funeral Home, Brainerd and also at the church for one hour prior to the service on Tuesday. Interment will take place at Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery, Camp Ripley.

Jeff was born September 3, 1955 in Osage, Iowa to Edwin and Alicia (Gelder) Hulsether. He graduated from the University of Minnesota with a degree in Civil Engineering. Putting his degree to good use, he was the Brainerd City Engineer for 30 years. Jeff married the love of his life, Judy Hookom, on November 9, 1985. One of the happiest moments of his life was when his daughter, Jordyn, was born. Jeff’s grandchildren, William and Camryn, were his pride and joy. He enjoyed teaching them to drive the pontoon and helping William catch his first fish. He had many hobbies including hunting, fishing, road trips, and teaching his family to waterski. Jeff was a dedicated family man who was filled with joy and lived his life to the fullest. His quick wit and loving demeanor will be missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by his wife, Judy; daughter, Jordyn (Erik) Carter, Tucson, AZ; two grandchildren, William and Camryn Carter; two brothers, Todd (Gloria) Hulsether, Fargo, ND, and Brad (Claire) Hulsether, Columbus, OH. Aunt Marge Peterson, Bloomington, MN and Niece, Nephews and many cousins. He is preceded in death by his parents, and infant son, Cameron.
