June Rose Carner, age 96, of Brainerd, passed away on Thursday, February 13, 2020. June was born on August 12, 1923 in Brainerd to Virgil & Rose (Lamay) Glanville. She was the first of 7 children. Rose married Raymond L Carner on December 24, 1941. June and Ray raised their 10 children in the Brainerd area. She worked for her dearest friends, Len and Violet Zugschwert. June became a member of the Salvation Army Church at the age of 9 years old. She dedicated her life to the church. Growing up she joined the Sumbeam’s and went on to be a Girl Guard, then a Senior Solider.

In her adult life she was a Sunday school teacher, home league president for 38 years, War Cry for 36 years, Bell Ring Corps Council and lots of volunteering.

Left to cherish her memory are her children: Ronnie (Peggy) Carner, Judy Maske, Virginia Borg (Cliff Rono), Dale (Diana) Carner, Richard (Lillie) Carner, Anita Chamberlain, and Loren Carner; daughters-in-law, Margy Carner and Debbie Carner; son-in-law, Roger Britton; sisters: Bonnie Teague and Mary Lou (Bud) Simonson; 37 grandchildren; many great grandchildren, many great great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.

Preceding June in death are her parents; husband, Raymond; sons, Virgil Carner and Thomas Carner; daughter, Lorna Britton; 2 grandsons; 1 granddaughter; 3 great grandsons; brothers: Bucky Glanville, Thomas Glanville and Earl Glanville; sister, Betty Davis.

Funeral service for June will be held on Thursday, February 20, 2020 at 11AM at Halvorson Taylor Life Events Center (512 S 8th St, Brainerd). Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
