LaNeda Anderson

LaNeda “Neda” Joyce Anderson of Brainerd, MN passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by her family on Friday, August 28, 2020 at the age of 72.

LaNeda was born March 1, 1948 in Minneapolis, MN to Glen & Theresa “Dolly” Petree. She married her best friend and the love of her life James “Jim” Anderson on October 8, 1966. She was a loving wife and mother who shared her many talents while working for Independent School District 181. LaNeda was an elementary special education paraprofessional from 1983 until her retirement in 2010. Over the course of her career she positively influenced the lives of countless children and fellow educators. Neda enjoyed reading, the arts, helping others, traveling and above all her family. She was truly an example of unconditional love.

LaNeda is survived by; her mother, Theresa “Dolly” Bear of Bloomington, her husband Jim Anderson of Brainerd; children and grandchildren, Jarrett (Danae) Jace & Jude Anderson, Paul (Kristi) Drew & Camille Anderson, Stacy Fetters and Slade Fetters.

Due to COVID-19 and per LaNeda’s wishes, no funeral or visitation will be held at this time. The family will be having a private celebration of life on the shores of Lake Superior, a place she absolutely loved.

Cremation services will be provided by the Cremation Society of Minnesota in Duluth.
