Laura L. Gottschalk, age 103 of Crosby died on April 22, 2020 at the Cuyuna Regional Care Center in Crosby. She was born on May 29, 1916 in Leaf Valley, MN to Henry and Ida (Froemming) Grosenick. Laura attended school and graduated from the Alexandria High School. Laura has been a resident in the Crosby area since 1994. She moved here in 1994 from Lapeer, MI, where her and her husband helped in Lutheran ministries. She was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church in Crosby, where she was involved in the Ladies Aid, choir and quilting.

Laura is survived by two sons, John (Ardelle) Gottschalk of Richfield and Mark (Carol) Gottschalk of Midlothian, VA; two daughters, Gwen (Chuck) Kienholz of Baxter and Mary Gail (Richard) Simpson of Groton, CT; eight grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

Preceding her in death are her parents; her husband, Lester; four brothers and 5 sisters.

A private graveside service is being held at the St. Paul’s Lutheran Cemetery in Wilbert, MN. Arrangements are with the Koop Funeral Home in Crosby.
