Lavone Jean (Lanz) Sullivan
Lavone Jean (Lanz) Sullivan passed away September 26, 2020, at home surrounded by her loving family. Lavone was born July 5, 1943, in St. Cloud to Leonard and Myrtle Lanz. As a child she lived in Sauk Rapids until her family relocated to the Brainerd lakes area. Her parents owned and operated Lanz’s Turkey Farm in Nisswa. On July 8, 1961 Lavone was united in marriage to Thomas Sullivan of Nisswa. She and Tom went on to have three sons, Thomas, Robert and Ryan. Lavone worked at Bar Harbor Supper Club for many years and established lifelong friendships with her fellow co-workers, “The Girls.” In 1990 Tom and Lavone moved to Augusta, GA, where they lived for 12 years. She and Tom always wanted to live near their children and grandchildren as they were their greatest joy. In 2002 she and Tom moved back to Minnesota and settled in Pequot Lakes. Lavone was a hardworking and devoted wife, mother and grandmother who was very proud of her family. There was nothing like her laughter when with friends and family. Lavone is survived by her husband of 59 years Thomas, her sons Thomas (Rhonda) of Pequot Lakes, Robert (Kathi) of Nisswa and Ryan (Elizabeth) of Augusta, GA, her beloved grandsons Michael (Erin) of Fargo, N.D., Mitchell of Nisswa, Benjamin of Pequot Lakes, and Evan and Nolan of Augusta, GA. She was preceded in death by her parents Leonard and Myrtle, her brother Jerome and her sister Betty. She will be forever lovingly remembered and greatly missed. No services to be held.
