Margaret Marie Pitt

Margaret Marie Pitt, the daughter of Merwin and Bonnie(Schoel) Pitt was born on April 4, 1953 in Waterloo, Iowa. She was raised and received her early education in Cedar Falls.  

Margie attended Drake University to study art.  She returned home to work in the retail business.  In 1971 her parents purchased a house on Gull Lake and she moved with them.  Margie continued her retail work at Fleet Farm.

Marge was an avid reader and particularly enjoyed biographies and mysteries.  She was an avid fisherwomen and loved to golf.

After her Mom passed, Margie and her Dad moved to her current address. She cared for her Dad when his health started failing. She loved Dogs and feeding the birds...even the neighborhood bear on occasion. Margie was artistic and enjoyed stamping and making her cards.

Margie passed away on Friday March 20 at Essential Health in Brainerd at the age of 66.  She was proceeded in death by her parents.  

Left to cherish her memory are her brother Stephen and his wife Linda, her niece Leslie Moore and husband Austin and their children: her nephew Justin Pitt and his wife Shannon and their children, and other relatives and friends.

Margie was very giving throughout her life. Her last gift was a bequeath of her body to Mayo Foundation, Rochester MN for medical edition. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
