Marie Hassler, 86, of Baxter, passed away Friday, June 26, 2020 at Good Samaritan Village – Bethany in Brainerd. She was born December 10, 1933, in Staples, the daughter of Edward and Caroline (Fussy) Schmitt.

Marie is survived by her children, Michael Hassler, David (Dorothea) Hassler, and Elizabeth (Lonnie Caughey) Hassler; grandchildren, Carrie and Katie Hassler, and their mother, Joyce Hassler; and niece, Sandy Schmitt. Preceding Marie in death are her parents; brother, James Schmitt; sister-in-law, JoAnn Schmitt; and nephew, Bob Schmitt.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, July 1, 2020 at St. Andrew’s Catholic Church in Brainerd. Interment will take place at Evergreen Memorial Gardens.
