Mark Allan LeBeau of Pine River, MN died on Sept. 10, 2020 in Brainerd, MN at age 69. Born on Aug. 24, 1951 on the Norfolk Naval Base in Virginia, Mark was a gifted musician and singer-songwriter. His first love was the guitar; he also played piano, drums and bass. Like the timeless soul that he was, he could play and sing just about any rock, country or jazz song you can think of. And he wrote his own beautiful, funky and soulful songs.

Mark embodied the spirit of the 1960s. He lived in a cabin in the north woods that he built himself. Besides music, he liked to garden, build furniture, golf, do crossword puzzles, cruise the country roads in his pick-up, and hang out with his sons. He battled cancer, was a great dancer, and lived life on his own terms.

Mark is survived by six children: Zoe LeBeau of Denver, CO, Waylon LeBeau of Fort Meyers, FL, Beau Sundberg of Woodbridge, VA, Aretha LeBeau, and Luke and Django LeBeau of Minneapolis, MN; grandchildren Valentina and Eviana Sundberg; siblings Paul of Steamboat Springs, CO, Philip (and Jenny) of Jelm, WY, Peter (and Susan) of Tucson, AR, Ann of Colorado Springs, CO, and Joseph (and Karen) of Hartwell, GA; many nieces and nephews; and his Aunts Peggy (and Swede) Anderson of Bloomington, MN and Loralee Ruthenbeck (and Don Zienke) of Mankato, MN.

Mark was preceded in death by his parents, Mary Lou (Schmidt) LeBeau and Robert Walter LeBeau. A memorial gathering will be held in the spring of 2021.
