Mark Joseph Rushmeyer

Mark Joseph Rushmeyer, Sr., 60, of Badin, NC passed away December 16, 2020 at the Tucker Hospice House in Kannapolis, NC. Mark fought a valiant fight against numerous cancers. However, pancreatic cancer ultimately took him from us.

He was born in Brainerd, Minnesota on July 12, 1960 to the late Henry Joseph Rushmeyer and Kenneth and Darlene Grunewald. He was educated in Brainerd public schools. Mark served with honor in the United States Air Force. He was married while serving in the Air Force and he had four children. After the Air Force, Mark settled in NC, he worked as an over the road truck driver before his illness.

Mr. Rushmeyer is survived by his loving and caring wife Kristie; children Mark Joseph Rushmeyer, Jr. (Tiffany) of Salisbury, NC, Michael Shawn Rushmeyer, Christopher Alan Rushmeyer of Kannapolis, NC and Latishia Nicole Rushmeyer of Kannapolis, NC; stepchildren, Garrett Little (Ebony) of New London, NC, Jeremy Little of Salisbury, NC and Brianna Hambrick (Ryan) of Albemarle, NC; three brothers, Joel Rushmeyer (Shelly), Henry Rushmeyer (Marian) and Troy Rushmeyer (Katy); three sisters, Val Magnan (Kelly), Kim Jensen (Russ) and Tonya Wgeishofski (Paul); thirteen grandchildren and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.

Mark will be remembered for his love of family. We are so proud of the fight he gave to his cancer.
