Marlene J. Molin
Marlene J. Molin, of Brainerd, passed away at her home, surrounded by her family on Monday, June 28, 2021. A Celebration of Marlene’s Life will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, July 2, 2021, at First Lutheran Church in Brainerd. Pastor Patty Bjorklund will officiate. Family and friends are welcome to gather one hour prior to services and to stay for a luncheon to follow. Interment will take place at Gull River Cemetery.
Marlene was born September 13, 1939, in Brainerd, the daughter of Milton and Eileen Hradsky. After graduating as valedictorian of her Pillager High School Class, Marlene continued her education at Brainerd Community College. She earned a degree in accounting and bookkeeping. In 1967, she was united in marriage to Conrad Molin. The couple owned and operated Electric Garage Supply as well as House of Flowers.
North Long Lake was Marlene’s favorite place to be. She liked to watch the water from her deck, teach family members to water ski, and get on the boat or golf cart and go for cruise. Entertaining was a passion of Marlene’s and she never failed to treat others to her homemade pizza or slushy of the day.
She will be missed by her husband of 54 years, Conrad; children, Debi (Ron) Tiberi, Kevin Molin, Renae (Cory) Ketterling, and Roxanne (Dan) Rietveld; grandchildren, Adam (Dayna), Danelle (Tarun), Kelsey (Steve), Devin (Sierra), Damien (Madeline), Jared, Dominique (Mitchell), Griffin, and Lindsey; three great-grandchildren with two more on the way; siblings, Wesley (Joan) Hradsky, Colleen Johnston, Beverly (Gene) Pietz, and Wayne Hradsky; and many nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
