Marvin Oberg, age 84, of Pine River, died on Monday, July 19, 2021 at Essentia Health – St. Joseph’s Medical Center.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 4, 2021 from 2-4 p.m. at Nelson-Doran Funeral Home.

Marvin was the friendliest hermit around; he will be remembered for his stoic silence. He was always willing to help those who asked. He was self-sufficient, loved to collect cars, build, paint, watch old movies and browse a garage sale.

He is survived by his daughter, Teri Deszamp; two grandchildren, Christine (Joey) Binda and Katherine (CJ) Badovinatz; two great-grandchildren, Eli and Kayden.

Arrangements have been completed by Nelson-Doran Funeral Home, Brainerd.
