Michael Francis Burke, age 81, passed away peacefully at his home on March 5th, 2021 with his wife, Linda, by his side, after a short battle with Pancreatic Cancer. Michael was born in Wayzata, MN on December 22nd, 1939. Upon graduating from Mound High School, he joined the Plumbers Local 15 in Minneapolis. He was a member of the Local 15 for over 60 years. He was very proud of the hard work he put in and the many friends he made throughout his career. He was a hardworking man who loved his family more than anything in the world. Linda and Mike loved winters in Isla Mujeres with family and close friends. He spent much of his retired years fishing and deer hunting with family and friends. His big personality made such a positive impact on everyone he came across. Michael will be missed dearly by all that had the pleasure to know him.

Michael was preceded in death by his father, Joseph, mother, Evangeline, and his sister, Patty.

He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Linda (Peterson), son, Michael, daughter, Stacey, daughter, Vicki Rausch, and sister, Maxine (Brad) Hosek. He is also survived by his grandchildren Jesse, Jeremy, Kendra, Samantha, and Jackie along with 4 great-grandchildren.

Respecting Michael’s wishes, we will be hosting a celebration of life gathering at his home in Merrifield, MN, closer to Spring/Summer. In lieu of flowers; consider memorials in his name to any food shelf or animal rescue of your choice would be appreciated.

A private family service will be held in the spring of 2021.
