Carol Tower

Carol Tower passed away peacefully on January 19, 2021.

Carol was born to Judy and James Swaim on October 6th, 1960 in Lincoln, NE.

She graduated from John Marshall High School in 1978 in Rochester, MN and went on to Rochester Community College. There, through their love of music and singing, she met the love of her life, Jim Tower. They were married in 1983 and spent a wonderful 37 years together.

In addition to be a lovingly devoted wife and mother, Carol had a wide variety of interests. She enjoyed her many trips to Washington D.C. to advocate for credit unions on behalf of her work at MMFCU . Carol loved finding a good book, especially one she could read out by the lake on a warm Minnesota day. She was also an avid baker, always studying new cookbooks or trying out new recipes, a love which she passed along to her daughters. Piano music could often be heard throughout the home, especially at Christmas when Carol loved to play most. Last, and certainly not least, Saturdays were dedicated to her beloved Nebraska Cornhuskers; a tradition that will remain in the family.

She is preceded in death by her father, James Swaim. She is survived by her husband, Jim Tower, daughters, Haley Tower and Briana (Garrett) Tetrick, and grandson, Jamie Tetrick. She is also survived by her mother, Judy Swaim, and sisters, Pam Spencer and Brenda (Scot) Davidson.

A private service will be held at Park United Methodist in Brainerd. For any floral donations, please contact the church for further information.
