Daniel Goffman

It is with deep sadness that we announce that Dan Goffman, of Brainerd MN (living in Cocolalla, ID), passed away unexpectedly in his sleep on October 9th, 2022.
Dan was born on July 20th, 1983, and leaves behind his mother & father (Ron & Nancy), brother and sister-in-law (Michael & Joy), nephew (Kai), and significant other (Kirsten), all of whom will miss him forever.
Former MN Governor Jesse Ventura was once asked what his greatest fear was. He replied: “Outliving my children.” The sting of these words is felt deeply by his family. We will miss Dan’s amazing smile, his laid-back character, and suffocation-inducing bear hugs.
Dan graduated from Brainerd High School in 2001 and from Northwest Technical Institute in 2003. After graduation, Dan became a designer at Polaris. Eventually, he started his own design company and currently holds several patents under his name. His business was an instant success and eventually, he and Kirsten moved to the mountains of Northern Idaho to be closer to the things they loved: snowboarding, dirt biking, and wakeboarding.
True to Dan’s style, a lakeside celebration of life with boating, bbq, and bonfires, will be held in the Brainerd Lakes Area on his 40th birthday over the weekend of July 22-23, 2023. (Please contact the family for more details.)
‘Uncle Dan’ left us all far too soon and it’s hard to imagine what the world will be like without him in it. If you’re reading this Dan, we love you to the moon and back.
