Ralph William Meyer, 88, of Brainerd, passed away Thursday, May 26, 2022, at Essentia Health – St. Joseph’s Medical Center.

A Celebration of Ralph’s Life will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, June 9, 2022, at Nelson – Doran Funeral Home. Ralph’s family invites you to gather one hour prior to services and to join them at the Eagle’s Club after to continue sharing stories and honoring Ralph’s life. Interment will take place at Fort Ripley Cemetery.

Ralph was born April 20, 1934, at his family home in Brainerd, the son of Edward and Ruby Meyer. He attended Brainerd Schools, before beginning his 35-year career with Minnegasco. He retired as the Lead Service Technician. Ralph and his wife Janet (Doucette) enjoyed years of living on Crow Wing Lake. Ralph was an avid deer hunter and a lifelong member of the Eagle’s Club. He also enjoyed woodworking and making different crafts with Janet that they would gift to family and friends or sell. He loved his children – and loved toying with them even more. His good sense of humor and ability to keep you on your toes will be dearly missed.

He is survived by his children, Steve (Shelley) Meyer, Lynda (Peter) Rask, Mike Meyer (Jo), Tony (Roxy) Meyer; grandchildren, Jesse, Nikki, Nate, Dani, SaraAnn, Joel, Jeremy, Jake, Kaida, Josh, and Jenny; many great-grandchildren, and siblings Pearl Hellen and Jimmy Meyer. He was preceded in death by his wife, Janet; grandson, Curtis; and brothers, Jack and Paul.
