Terry Ottoson

Terry D. Ottoson died Sunday, December 1, 2019, at his home under the care of Knute Nelson Hospice. He was born March 5, 1951, in Pine River to Sven O. and Alma E. (Kayala) Ottoson.

Terry spent his life working in the woods as owner of his own logging business. He was kind-hearted, compassionate and well-liked by all who knew him. He enjoyed the simple life – feeding his birds and cats, listening to music and dancing with family and friends at gatherings.

Survivors include his long-time love whom he recently wed, Barb, of Pine River; daughter, Teresia (Mark) Mortenson of Crosslake; siblings: Gerald (Joyce) Ottoson of Arkansas, Eleanor Fuller of New Mexico and Tom (Carol) Ottoson of Crosslake; stepchildren: Mark Deyette, Kim Deyette and Joy Deyette; grandchildren: Tyler (Jade) Mortenson, Kylee Mortenson and Jessica Deyette; and great grandchildren: Landon, Axel and Evelyn. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, David Bentley, Russell Ottoson and an infant brother.

Services will be 3 PM on Tuesday, December 10, at Kline Funeral Home, Pine River. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
