Wanda Mooney Kremer


Wanda Kremer was born to Curtis A. and Gladys (Evans) Mooney, Sep 1931. She graduated Bristol High School in 1949.

She entered the USAF (WAFS) Feb 1951 at Boston, MA. She loved being a Weather Observer and briefing aircrews while stationed at Westover AFB, MA and Wheeler Auxiliary AF, Oahu where she met her future love TSgt Dave Kremer. She attained the rank of SSgt in 1955, earned the National Defense Service Medal, and the Good Conduct Medal. She received an Honorable Discharge in 1958.

Wanda married Dave Kremer of Brainerd, MN in 1958, where since they loved each other for 63 years.

Wanda and Dave adopted Paul in 1961 and Peter in 1966. They moved from San Bernardino, CA to Brainerd, MN in the summer of 1970 after Dave retired from the USAF. Wanda began a career with the Brainerd Post Office as a Rural Letter Carrier in 1973. She loved meeting and serving the people on her rural route rain, snow or sunshine. She had a fond memory of one farmer that would pull her car out of the springtime mud with his team of horses. Her service and dedication was recognized as she was elected as the local Rural Letter Carriers Union Representative. She retired from the Post Office in 1991.

Having enough of the Minnesota winters, Dave and Wanda moved to beautiful Sierra Vista, AZ in 1997.

Wanda was an active member of the Eastern Star and the United Methodist Church.

Wanda was preceded by her parents and siblings Muriel Carpenter and Curtis Mooney of Bristol, NH.

She is survived by her loving husband, Dave Kremer, her younger brother Rodney Mooney of Fountain Hills, AZ and 2 children, Paul Kremer of Brainerd, MN and Peter Kremer of Sierra Vista, AZ.

She was loved by her 7 Grandchildren: Cole, Peter B, Kyle, Seth and Christopher, Patrick, and Nicole Kremer and 8 Great Grandchildren
