Well, if the frigid temperatures last week were not enough to convince you that it is in fact winter, the new Community Education Guide to Activities that you have hopefully received in the mail should have done the trick. Winter is upon us, my friends, but there is no need to hibernate. That Community Ed guide has all kinds of activities to keep every member of the family learning, growing, practicing and moving this winter.
My three favorite times of the year at work are fall guide time, winter guide time and spring guide time. The office is a flurry of activity as staff are working with instructors and coaches to confirm all the details for all the activities. It is so fun for me to flip through the pages and see all the opportunities they have worked so hard to plan. An additional bonus is that I get a sneak peek at what I want to sign up for when registration opens! Mark your calendar for Monday morning at 8 a.m. to get signed up for those popular activities that fill so quickly.
There are always so many activities that would interest some member of my family. Our Instagram-loving teenagers would love Photography classes listed on page 4 so they can get their selfies juuuust right. My husband the amatuer chef would be fascinated to know how to make Prairie Bay's delicious bruschetta sampler (page 6). The financial class for parents and grandparents is of particular interest to me after the embarrassment of riches my children were showered with over the holidays (page 8). I also have my eye on the new Painting Barn Quilts class (page 5) to actually do some of those Pinterest projects I love to pin. Our little kids will be so excited about all the Specialty ECFE classes (page 27). Then there is the gymnastics (page 13), soccer and tennis (page 38) this spring. We are also excited to be attending kindergarten round-up with our little future Warrior this year (page 40).
It looks like we have a busy winter ahead of us in the Reynolds household. I hope you and all the members of your family find something fun and fascinating to sign up for in the winter Community Education guide.
