I recently had the opportunity to speak with Gabe Johnson, candidate for ward 4. Gabe is a business owner with knowledge of accounting and vision for Brainerd. He is well equipped to reduce spending and costs thus eliminating the need for further debt and levy increases. Gabe is one of many whom build our economy locally. His opponent earns his living from tax dollars and doesn't build the economy.

Gabe understands what needs to be done to keep Brainerd's debt load from increasing. He knows we can cut fat from our budget, reduce staff, and save money with smart financial methods. Ward 4, you have the opportunity to put a leader with business sense on the council with your vote for Gabriel Johnson.

For county commissioner (District 3) the fresh sensible blood is Jeff Czeczok. For those of you that don't know, Jeff is blind; he hasn't let that hold him back one bit. Jeff is a driven and dedicated man with perseverance for the citizens he is campaigning to represent.

Jeff has experience with government bodies and their processes. His solutions for problems are cost effective; he is not happy with simply raising taxes blindly when we can make reductions in other areas to wisely repurpose funds.

Jeff has been our watchdog bringing to public attention "questionable" actions by current elected officials that weren't in the best interests of the people. Jeff Czeczok is part of the solution, not the problem. We need him in office.

Nov. 4, vote Johnson (Brainerd council Ward 4) and Czeczok (county commissioner District 3). Two people who won't pull the wool over your eyes and whose moral compasses aim straight at "We The People." They will represent the citizens, not the bureaucracy.
