I am leery of Liedl and his plans for the county. Liedl does not work well with people who disagree with him. His plans are about eliminating competing ideas not helping the county. Liedl does not want to eliminate "silos" but to build one giant silo to himself. He has consistently used his position to advance himself, give perks and benefits to friends, and eliminate those who disagree with him.

We have one candidate that has genuine ideas for the recorder office, who believes people should vote for the position. One candidate vows to work with other departments, listen to ideas and share his own, to build a better system for taxpayers.

Liedl has promised to destroy the recorder position, roll it into the land services appointed position and make his term as recorder indefinite. He promises to streamline by eliminating leaders, and ideas. The county needs to save money with genuine ideas like record digitization and using technology more efficiently to streamline processes, not by eliminating a position, adding salary to yourself, and calling it a win for the county. That is only a win for Liedl. Liedl's main strategy for saving cost in the county is eliminating jobs.

Eliminating leadership jobs in the county serves to make it certain that new ideas never come and are not heard. The county needs people that will listen to other people's ideas and can work with other department heads, not people that want to control a staff.

Don't be fooled by all the Liedl signs, they prove he has the money for signs, and time
