Reader Opinion: A disconnect

Red flag laws would be as poisonous as the perfidious legal maneuverings that made Hillary Clinton’s Russian hoax possible. They’re both instruments of evil.

Dispatch letters that politicize school shootings to attack Republicans or Second Amendment rights won’t honestly acknowledge what they really support. They support President Joe Biden’s multiple epic crises, a biased Democrat-media complex, and globalist interests facilitating attacks on individual freedoms. Recalling Democrats were once dubbed a criminal organization masquerading as a political party, American Thinker columnist Clarice Feldman wrote, “Democratic leaders are encouraging lawlessness and threatening behavior against Supreme Court justices. And their attorney general refuses to enforce the law... Imagine a criminal organization with a huge public relations outfit working around the clock on its behalf…” Paraphrasing Benjamin Franklin, a well informed nation of people, who know and value their God-given rights, cannot be enslaved. But it’s in ignorance where tyranny begins. Are Americans being well informed?

A Democratic congressional representative recently called for Civil War if they don’t get what they want. Under Biden, the 12 cities that broke their homicide records in 2021 were all Democrat run. Supporting quick fixes is hardly different from mob mentality. None are qualified to lecture law-abiding Americans about their inviolable God-given rights!

Patrick Henry said, “Guard with jealous attention the public liberty. Suspect everyone who approaches that jewel. Unfortunately, nothing will preserve it but downright force. Whenever you give up that force, you are ruined.”

Red flag laws would be as poisonous as the perfidious legal maneuverings that made Hillary Clinton’s Russian hoax possible. They’re both instruments of evil. Following the Columbine tragedy, Colorado’s State Board of Education acknowledged the real root problem. “…schools …so fearful of affirming one religion or one value over another… abdicated their historic role in the moral formation of youth and thereby alienated themselves from our people’s deep spiritual sensibilities.” A disconnect left unaddressed at our peril.
