We are increasingly being a nation of greedy angry people and without some kind of common sense being interjected into our thinking we will destroy what could have been a great society. As one looks toward the future, as bleak as it seems, you don’t need to be an economist, a clairvoyant or a foreseer to predict what lies ahead. You only need to be a realist. I really believe that most of the people in this nation, left to their own means, would find that common ground we all need to live on. But political leaders have led them astray from both the left and the right; people that want nothing to do with common ground. Angry people some with one foot in the grave. They want it all or nothing. Conservatives, and I use that word loosely, who already have the lions share of the wealth aren’t going to stop until they have it all. They are fighting right now to claim the courts, so nothing will be in their way towards this dominance. At the same time there is the left that also ignores the problems of no fiscal responsibility, simply because they see this nation as a bunch of happy people holding hands and singing kumbaya around that eternal campfire, wearing tee shirts emblazoned with their list of rights. Morality and the rule of law be dammed. Everyone should be free to live as they wish and the government should pay for all of it. So we wait and we see who caves and who falls. Do we take up arms against each other as we did in 1863? Civil disorder is becoming more common by the day and civility is fast disappearing. It can’t continue this way much longer.
