My family and I moved back to Brainerd in 2007 to be closer to family and live in this great community. Shortly after moving here, I met Jana Austad and her family through a shared interest in downhill skiing. In 2013, Jana was appointed to be district court judge.
I have had the opportunity to participate in a parent/son book club with Jana. We had meaningful conversations with our children about diverse topics. Jana is a wonderful listener and facilitator.
Judge Jana Austad is a dedicated public servant who has a tremendous work ethic. Since her appointment to the 9th Judicial district she has proven to be an excellent judge. Join me in re-electing Judge Jana Austad as she understands life in northern Minnesota and is trustworthy to all parties that come before her court.
