Reader Opinion: Be an informed voter

I appreciated reading school board and county commissioner candidate forum summaries in the Brainerd Dispatch.

Thank you to the Brainerd Dispatch for its coverage of the recent candidate forums for school board and county commissioners. It was disappointing to find out about the meetings only after they had occurred, so I appreciated reading the summaries in the newspaper. If people would like to find out more about the candidates running for these local positions, I recommend just doing a Google search. You may be surprised at the information you can gather about an individual online, even those who have not previously held a public office. It may help solidify who you do, and perhaps just as importantly, who you don't want to vote for.
