As a parent with two children in ISD 181, I encourage you to read about Amanda Ciesinski Chan who is running for school board. She has three children and a previous foreign exchange student in the district and understands the demands and difficult choices parents are currently faced with in their children’s education.
Her experience as an educator with face-to-face and online instruction in higher education is valuable as we make these transitions within the district. With a background in public health and research, Amanda can interpret current data trends and is motivated to safely keep students learning and in school. The skill set she possesses from serving on curriculum and program evaluation committees would be a great addition to our current leadership.
Amanda has an extensive background but it’s her constant enthusiasm and her dedication to all children that solidify her as an amazing candidate for school board.
