One thing that struck me during the candidate forum is that Amanda was the only candidate to speak directly about how these COVID-19 classroom disruptions have impacted student achievement and mental health. As a parent, these are the issues that matter most to me right now. She is someone you can depend on, and we can depend on her to make our students her focus. Not only that, as a taxpayer, I want to make sure the things we are investing in as a district are working. Amanda has experience building and evaluating programs based on goals and objectives. As you can see during the forum, she does her research and is familiar with the data relating to our students and the district. With her experience in public health, education, research, and program planning, I look forward to all she can do for our district and students.
