Reader Opinion: Entitled lawlessness

Gov. Tim Walz has failed to act.

Gov. Tim Walz is a very good communicator. He was a former member of the National Guard.

Due to his own declaration, he assumed almost unlimited powers to deal with emergencies. If there was ever anyone in the right place, at the right time, to prevent the understandable anger following the murder of George Floyd from boiling over into tragedy and a sense of entitled lawlessness, it was him.

Unfortunately, he failed to act, and a substantial part of the responsibility for the lawlessness that continues to haunt us can be laid at his feet.
