My faith in democracy has been restored by this year’s election. The elections officials have gone to great pains to make sure the process works the way it’s supposed to. The efforts to cause fear by intimidating voters did not materialize. In fact, voter turnout was great, and no major problems were reported. Now we just have to be patient while all the counting is completed, and wait for the Georgia run-off election in December.
