The Declaration of Independence states that “all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable rights, that among these are life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.” This tells me that I am endowed with the right to life. I feel that I am doing my obligation to help protect you by wearing a mask when entering a building. How are those of you who ignore the state mandate protecting me when you refuse to wear a mask? I dread going to shop in some popular stores in Brainerd because most of the customers totally ignore the mask mandate. I have mentioned my concern to clerks who say that they can only ask patrons to wear a mask. There are some businesses who tell customers who have forgotten their masks to just ignore the mandate.
How many more people have to become ill with COVID-19 before we all finally follow the mandate?
