Reader Opinion: Justice

The detective work required to bring these perpetrators to justice is complex and I admire the men and women who continue to be successful in their work.

The Feb. 21, 2021, edition of the Dispatch on page A13 told of two Minnesota men being arrested in Mexico for their role as arsonists during the May 28, 2020, riots in St. Paul. I want to commend the U.S. Marshals, the FBI, ATF, metropolitan area police, multiple sheriffs and deputies, and all other enforcement organizations who continue to bring to justice the anarchists, gang members, and law breakers of all varieties that took advantage of a mob action or peaceful demonstration (choose your preferred label) to reign terror on innocent small businesses, public facilities, and taxpayers who will pay much of the bill. The detective work required to bring these perpetrators to justice is complex and I admire the men and women who continue to be successful in their work despite “defunding” and other undermining actions taken by some well-meaning (I hope) individuals. I only wish that this brief article could have been on the front page like the riot coverage was rather than buried on page A13.
