Reader Opinion: Kudos

I thought I should take time out of my writing day to give some kudos to the Brainerd Dispatch.

My wife and I have lived in Baxter for about 15 years now and during that time I have seen marked improvement in our local paper. The general format of the paper has improved, the photography is remarkable, and the quality and professionalism of the reporting and general journalism is markedly better.

The coverage of events outside of the local venue has improved but what I notice most of all is that the letters to the editor have become more thoughtful and informative and less shrill, angry and partisan; more about ideas and less about ideologies.

Thanks for your diligence in working toward those improvements and to the community for supporting broader ideas and more wisdom.
