Reader Opinion: Like Churchill
I’m sure you have heard the saying, “History repeats itself.” Cabinet Minister Lord Crawford wrote about Winston Churchill and I quote, “that his judgements are erratic, that he flies off at a tangent, that he has a burning desire to trespass upon the domain of the naval strategist – all this may be more or less true but he remains the only figure in the Cabinet with the virtue of constant uncompromising aggressive quest of victory. He delivers the massive killing blow, encourages the country, inspires the fleet – the more I see and hear of him the more confident I am that he represents the party of complete….victory!” Crawford’s criticism is similar to the current day criticism of President Trump. Like Churchill, I’m believing President Trump will go down in history as a great leader. So as the Bible says in Proverbs: “Good leaders cultivate honest speech; they love advisors who tell them the truth.” “Make your motions and cast your votes, but God has the final say.” So time will tell, right?
