I watched the provided Nisswa Police Department body camera footage of the Heidmann arrest. Both Chief Taylor and Chief Klang should be proud of their officers’ conduct, and their representation of their respective agencies. They handled the situation professionally and gave Heidmann every opportunity they needed to too comply with their orders, and their orders were completely in line. I also watched the cellphone video of the arrest from the individuals stopped by the officers. The process in which Heidmann was taken into custody, and the amount of force used and actions of the officers, was completely justified. I commend them both for the professionalism. As for Heidmann, what an absolutely disgusting display; a complete embarrassment for his town, community and family.
