Why would anyone want to support someone for office who doesn’t plan to be in the area during a large part of the term? There is an old saying that all politics are local. Your city council member shouldn’t be someone who is living in another state. Sure a Zoom meeting is possible but that should be a last resort not an alternative option because you choose to live in another state during the winter months. If you want to split your time then don’t run for a local office. We need a city council member who wants to live in the community they are representing. John Ward would never be my choice and I hope he isn’t yours either because he doesn’t want to live here.
