Thankfully elections are completed for 2022, without violence or much dissention. I want to thank our judges and counters who all did an amazing job. Deborah Erickson runs a wonderful department and we should all be grateful for the dedication of our election judges.
I would like to suggest that for School Board or other nonpartisan positions the use of ranked choice voting. This would resolve the primary issue costs for the School Board, allow interested people to decide later in the year if they want to run as well as allow everyone the choice of voting for their candidate.
