Jana Shogren is the candidate our community needs on the Brainerd School Board. Jana is an advocate for students. She is an ardent supporter of academics, arts, and athletics; but even more importantly, she is passionate about providing access to support and opportunities for all students. Jana understands running an organization at a systemic level. Her experiences as executive director for Bridges of Hope and the CLC Foundation mean that Jana is accustomed to large-scale budget management. She knows how to make magic happen while being mindful of financial responsibilities. Finally, Jana sees our schools as the hub of our community. Jana knows how to build bridges between what’s happening in our schools and the well-being of a thriving Brainerd Lakes Area. Jana is optimistic, driven, pragmatic, equitable, and creative. Her skill set is just what our board needs. I am proud to endorse Jana Shogren.
