In her apparition, approved by the Catholic Church as authentic, at Fatima, Portugal, in 1917, the Blessed Virgin Mary prophesied that “Russia will spread her errors throughout the world, provoking wars and persecutions of the Church...” Russia’s main “error” in 1917 was Communism -- and it has been spread throughout the world, so subtly that many people don’t recognize it for what it is. Read The Communist Manifesto. Anything sound familiar? Our Lady of Fatima also said that we are living in Chapters 8 through 13 of the Apocalypse. At the end of Chapter 13 comes the Mark of the Beast. I personally see mask mandates as being a form of this Mark of the Beast, particularly when they allow no exemption for conscientious/religious objections. I am impressed that Walmart recognized religious-objection as a valid reason for exemption from their companywide mask mandate.
Masks’ effectiveness (or lack thereof) is irrelevant here; my point is, governments and businesses do not have a moral right to force these mandates on people, and I join many others in believing this. Legal authority is subordinate to, not above, moral rights. I believe there comes a time when we, the people, must put our collective foot down in the face of unjust “laws” and stand up for our God-given rights. For me, mask mandates are the current line of demarcation.
COVID-19 has become an excuse for government (and media) to scare people so much that they’ll go along with unheard-of forms of control, domination, and tracking which they would never have accepted otherwise. Masks have become symbolic of this.
The remedy for the errors of our day is to turn back to God.
