I am writing in enthusiastic support of John Ward's candidacy for Baxter City Council. I have known John almost the entire 30 years I lived in the Brainerd area. As a teacher, he was a very positive influence on my daughters and taught them about civic duty and getting involved in their community. As a state representative, John took principled stands, even if it might not be in his best interest or political future. John has always looked out for the underdog, and those without a voice. As a Baxter councilperson, he will certainly listen to his constituents and represent them well.
I don't live in Baxter, but if I did, I would most certainly vote for John Ward. You should write his name in if you live there.
