On behalf of Education Minnesota Brainerd, I am pleased to announce our five endorsed candidates running for the open positions on the Brainerd School Board: Charles Black Lance, Michelle Brekken, Elisa Korentayer, Sarah Speer, and John Ward.
There is no doubt that the challenges facing our students, schools, and community are unprecedented in modern times. The impact of learning during a pandemic, political division, and starkly contrasting views of the role of public education in our society dictate that we need qualified individuals who are willing to provide strong leadership without regard to a personal agenda, where every individual matters, everyone feels heard, and there is a commitment to finding creative, inclusive solutions to complicated educational issues.
