As a parent, grandparent, retired teacher, and active community member, I would like to share how proud I am of the area citizens for passing the three parts of the ISD 181 referendum in 2018. Like most of you, I have been watching the progress on the renovations of the schools and the building of the Gichi-ziibi Center for the Arts with interest and anticipation.
Bravo to all who worked throughout the challenges of the pandemic and continue to complete all improvements and additions. A special thanks to the district staff, administration, school board, students and all who played a part in the planning, passing and implementation of the many aspects of the referendum.
This investment in education and entertainment is an important asset to our area, and one that will greatly benefit students and all of us for years to come!
