Reader Opinion: The price we pay

ReaderOpinionBlue.JPG

If people don’t feel like masking and distancing, it’s a free country and they shouldn’t have to. It’s their choice, their democratic right.

It follows that this same freedom ought to extend to the COVID doctors and nurses. The medical profession should also be free to choose to turn down those who don’t make or distance. It’s their democratic right. So far, however, I’ve never heard of a caregiver who said, “I don’t choose to treat those who don’t think about others.” But they could.

I’ve heard enough from the rebels. They get their importance acknowledged at last. What a price!
