Reader Opinion: Time for action

Stand up and push back against the devastating night that is enveloping us and against the killing political culture that we have been abandoned to die in.

It is time for action. Again. Now.

Action, which rightly defines who America is.

Action, which tells money and power-oriented, self-centered legislators to lead America out of its homicidal darkness and into the bright light of its greatest days.

Americans around this mourning country will March for Our Lives on Saturday, June 11, and Americans here will join them at noon in Gregory Park, Brainerd, calling for prompt adoption of simple, broadly supported first steps in law and order; reasonable common sense gun safety measures; and calling for the electoral support of American and state political leadership concerned with country, not with self.

Stand up and push back on June 11 and, in November, against the devastating night that is enveloping us and against the killing political culture that we have been abandoned, literally, to die in.
