Reading about Baxter citizen complaints about deer brings a question. Why did Crow Wing County and Baxter approve, and continue to approve, so many housing developments and take down so many trees?
A drive around Gull Lake on County Highway 77 will give you a perspective none of our ancestors could have ever imagined. Golf courses and housing developments everywhere.
I think calls to your city and county planners asking for much larger lots and off-limit woods would at least help with future developments so the wildlife that were here way before us can coexist.
