Reader Opinion: Vote wisely

Vote for candidates that support policies that promote safety, classroom control, respect for all students, and welcome parental input in their child’s education.

As a retired Forestview teacher, the clear choices for Brainerd School Board candidates were on full display for me during the candidate forum last month.

Five candidates stood out from the rest, especially on their conservative values. Three of these are vying for four-year term seats and two are vying for the two-year positions.

Vote for candidates that want to teach our children how to think, not what to think.

Vote for the candidates who are in favor of getting back to the basics of education without focusing on political/divisive agendas, and who will be fiscally responsible.

Vote for candidates that support policies that promote safety, classroom control, respect for all students, and welcome parental input in their child’s education.
