I encourage Baxter residents to write in John Ward’s name on their ballots for Baxter City Council. As a former teacher, coach, business owner, state legislator and mayor, he comes with a wealth of experience. I know John continues to be actively involved and interested in many local causes. He’s a man of high integrity, and I’ve been impressed by his ability to listen to and work with anyone. Recently I took note of Baxter’s proposed tax levy increase — our taxes are going up! Baxter residents who don’t like higher taxes should consider writing in John Ward’s name on their ballots. Why? Baxter receives little to no state aid — a direct result of that is its residents pay higher taxes! John has pledged to work to rectify that, and I believe he has the contacts and ability to do so.
