I met John in 2005. I came to admire his integrity, passion for public service, willingness to listen, and ability to take the best ideas from all sides to create the best solution. He is a public servant.
I witnessed him wrestle with and weigh the views of various sides of an issue, reconciling them on the merits rather than politics. He is a public servant.
I have seen John’s genuine love of all people regardless of their views or backgrounds – kneeling by children with challenges when the public is not watching, lighting up, speaking to them with dignity, lighting them up, treating them as one might treat the Pope. I have seen these things in private and in public because John is authentic and consistent. He is a public servant.
Baxter residents have the opportunity to write in John Ward for City Council. You deserve a public servant.
