Reader Opinion: Ward loves our students

We would be lucky to have John Ward advocating for our youth on the ISD 181 School Board.

John Ward has always been actively engaged in supporting and building character in our youth. Mr. Ward taught Service Learning at Brainerd High School. He taught perseverance, resilience, and responsibility. He taught students to listen to our community members, learn from them and consider all perspectives. Mr. Ward worked tirelessly to motivate and educate our Brainerd students.

John Ward is still actively engaged in our youth. He advocates for their mental health and well being. Two years ago, in the heart of the pandemic, he volunteered to appear in all ISD 181 kindergarten Google classrooms as Santa. I wish you could have seen their eyes light up! He took time to talk to every single one of the students.

John Ward loves our students and wants nothing but the best for them.
