If confirming a Supreme Court nominee is a problem because "we are in the middle of an election" and "people have already voted or are already voting" maybe it's not the confirmation process that is the problem. Maybe the voting process is the problem. Maybe we should go back to the old-fashioned way of voting. Maybe we should just show up at the poll on election day and cast our ballot in person. A way that worked just fine until relatively recently.
