On Feb. 14, I was in the floral shop on Washington Street getting a gift for a friend. When I went to pay for my purchase, I discovered my checkbook was missing.
I was panicking as I started to empty out my purse. I will admit that due to my age, I find myself misplacing and losing things.
The clerk then told me to forget it as the bill was paid. I couldn't believe it. In my confusion, I didn't find out who the generous good Samaritan was. So, whoever you are, a huge thank you for your kindness.
I will pass your act to another.
P.S. I found my checkbook on the floor of my apartment garage where I park my car.
