In my opinion, veterans - especially rural veterans - have never had a better friend in Congress than Rick Nolan. Nolan worked hard and reached across the aisle to pass a bipartisan veterans funding bill that allows vets to get the medical care they need close to home. What a difference that will make, especially to those whose medical conditions make long trips difficult to endure. And that's not all. Nolan worked with Democrats and Republicans alike to pass legislation to help end the benefits backlog at the VA, reform that agency, and provide more resources for suicide prevention, mental health counseling, housing, education and job training. If you're a vet, you've got a friend in Rick Nolan.
